It is recommended to use the Biowashball for loads under 4 kg (9 lbs).  For larger loads, use 2 Biowashballs®.

How should I store the Biowashball®?

The Biowashball® needs at least 1 hour of direct sunlight every month to regenerate the microballs inside.  In order to avoid forgetting to do this, you can store the Biowashball® on the window sill.

Can I use the Biowashball® on hot water settings for cleaning whites?

It is not recommended to use the Biowashball® in water above 50 degrees Celsius or 120 degrees Fahrenheit.  However, if you accidently do this, you will not cause damage to the Biowashball®, your clothes , or the machine.

I found my child/pet chewing on the Biowashball®.  What should I do?

The Biowashball® is non-toxic and made of food quality grade plastic.  The microspheres inside are made from natural ceramics and minerals.  There will be no adverse reactions.

I tried to clean my clothes with the Biowashball®, but there are still stains.

The Biowashball® is not a stain remover.  Soaking the clothes with the Biowashball® will help to remove stains, but for difficult or stubborn stains, it is recommended to pre-treat the clothing with stain remover before washing with the Biowashball®.

I used the Biowashball® to clean my clothes, but they don’t smell clean.

The Biowashball® uses no fragrances or perfumes to clean clothes.  After years of cleaning our clothes with detergent, we have all become convinced that the smell of “clean” is the smell of “cool wave,” “summer breeze,” or “tropical sunshine.”  If you wish for your clothes to have these smells, use the Biowashball® with a very small amount of detergent (one-fifth the recommended amount) or use a dryer sheet when drying the clothes.

While the Biowashball® seems to work, something just doesn’t feel right.  Can I use the Biowashball® with detergent?

Some of us find it difficult to break old habits.  If you wish to wean yourself off your detergent addiction, it is safe to use the Biowashball® with a small amount of detergent (use one-fifth the recommended amount).  However, by doing this, you will be undoing some of the benefits of the Biowashball®.  If you must use some detergent with your Biowashball®, consider eco-friendly or hypo-allergenic options.

Will the Biowashball® damage my delicate fabrics?

The Biowashball® is completely safe for use on all types of fabrics.  However, the washing machine itself can sometimes be rough.  As an added precaution, it is always recommended to put delicates into a laundry bag prior to washing.
